Who we are, how we coach, and the Halfspace Six principle that underpins every session.
Halfspace Academy supports girls & boys (6-18) with uplifting coaching, clear progression, and honest feedback. We combine great people, thoughtful practice design, and modern tools like video analysis and AI-assisted planning to make every session count.
We coach across London, South East England and Cambridgeshire. Whether it’s a first touch or academy trials, we meet each player where they are and build from there.
Our approach is simple: keep it fun, keep it positive, and keep it purposeful. Parents get visibility through short progress notes and end-of-block summaries, while players get the right stretch and support at the right time.

Positive, player-first environments • UEFA-licensed & DBS-checked coaches
Help young players enjoy football and progress with confidence - by blending great coaching, smart practice, and modern analysis into a clear, supportive pathway.
Touch, See, Think, Move, Connect, Thrive. Activities blend multiple pillars so learning transfers to match day.
Technique & ball mastery
High-touch sessions that sharpen first touch, ball striking and 1v1 quality under realistic pressure.
Perception & scanning
Train vision habits so players read pictures earlier and play forward quicker.
Game understanding & decisions
Game problems with clear constraints to improve choices in real moments.
Athleticism & movement
Movement quality that supports football actions and reduces risk.
Team Play & Leadership
Build better teammates: clear communication, helpful positions and mini-leadership.
Mindset, lifestyle & welfare
Confidence, resilience and healthy habits so players enjoy the journey and sustain progress.
Short session and match clips with coach notes (e.g., body shape on receive, scan timing) make feedback easy to see and repeat.
We organise drills, progressions and constraints by age, position and goals - freeing coaches to coach while keeping sessions purposeful.
Light tagging each block (e.g., First Touch, Pre-Scan, Pressing Triggers) plus a short end-of-block parent summary.
The Halfspace Six Model enhances the familiar four domains without reinventing them:
Technical
→ Touch
Tactical
→ See + Think
Physical
→ Move
Psychological / Social
→ Thrive + Connect
We keep tech helpful and human. Short clips, coach notes, and AI-assisted planning give players clear pictures and give parents useful context.
Short video moments with coach notes (e.g., body shape or scan timing) help players see what we mean and replicate it next time.
We use tools to organise drills, progressions, and constraints based on age, position, and goals - saving admin time so coaches coach.
Simple tags (e.g., first touch, scanning, pressing trigger) mark what we’re working on - parents get a quick end-of-block summary.
We keep data minimal and secure. Player welfare and safeguarding come first - always.
All coaches are UEFA-licensed, DBS-checked, and First Aid trained. We maintain clear codes of conduct and keep communication with families simple and respectful.
